The buoy which marks Veterans Reef has an American Flag flying from a pole. The weather 12 miles offshore is often harsh and makes for a short life span for a flag.

We are already on our second flag in just a few months. If you have an American Flag in good condition that you would like to donate to us, please contact us. If you'd like, send us a short (100 words of less) letter of what your flag has meant to you, whether as a veteran or a civilian. We will list your name and date of donation along with your letter.
